What guess do you have about when the 3G will be released?

Just like the subject line. When do you think in April it will be released. I opted to go with the 64GB WiFi + 3G. Readin about where everyone only has a couple of weeks worth of waiting left is depressing me... So, what's your guess?... I'm thinking 04/28
 
I'm waiting to reserve mine for in-store pickup, so I still got one more important date before release. Kinda hoping it breaks it down a little more.

But yeah April 3rd is gonna be killer.
 
Err, all who said May, wrong.

When they announced their plans internationally, they said both models (WiFi and WiFi + 3G) would be available in late April.

Yeah, but they said Late March about WiFi iPad :).

Well, they said that on back on Jan 27th.

On March 5th, when they released the final date on the WiFi, they said:

Apple today announced that its magical and revolutionary iPad will be available in the US on Saturday, April 3, for Wi-Fi models and in late April for Wi-Fi + 3G models. In addition, all models of iPad will be available in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland and the UK in late April.

In other words, that 'late April' verbage is very recent.

The last Saturday in April is the 24th. The following Saturday is May 1. So I guess it depends on if they like the Saturday launch thing and want to stick with it.

Exactly. Just cause they say Late April, doesn't mean it won't slip into May. :). I'm hoping April 24th myself. Hell, I'm hoping sometime between April 3rd and April 10th, but that's unrealistic. LOL!
 
For some reason, I don't think it will be released over a weekend. So that leaves April 5-9, 12-16, 19-23, or 26-30.

I'm leaning towards the 20th or 27th
 
Those who say not until May - why do you believe there is going to be such a delay between the wifi model and the 3G?

Hey, I'm hoping they release them at the same time, but yeah that's reaching:D

I say that because

1) They have miss launched windows before

2) If I expect a later date then I'll be happy if it's released earlier

3) Seems like there are production issues/shortages
 
Predictions:
1. Apple will not announce the 3G arrival date
2. There will be no indication of ship dates anywhere unitl consumers start reporting that their iPad order status had changed to shipped.
3. there will be a very ugly thread at this site in regard to why their specific orders have changed to "Early May" while others have shipped in April.
4. There be no less than 50 threads by this time with a recurring themes of "iPhone apps scaled up don't work / look odd / awkward to use.


5. The first shipped units (3G) WILL be last week of April. I'm not tying myself to a date.
