I can't figure out how to simply add a song to up next without forcing it to play as the very next song.

This is frustrating me.

It's suddenly working now. I didn't do anything and now "play later" shows up. Ugh.

This is my biggest frustration with the new music app interface.

If I tap to play a song , it adds the rest of the album.

Add next will make a song play next , but add later will play the song AFTER the album is finished.

It's a horrible experience for wanting to add 4-10 songs for a quick queue.

The only way is to keep adding songs to "add next " but then the play order is reversed.
EG add song 1 to play next, then song 2, then song 3. The play order will be song 1, song 3, song 2.

Why!

If you force touch the song a menu pops up. There is "Play later" option.

How do I do this?

I have an iPhone SE and in the music app I can't tap any random song without it playing immediately.

Long press on the song/album/playlist to get the 3DTouch esq window pop up.

Yeah, for some reason the option still wasn't there. However, it came back for some reason when I went and played a song from an Album as opposed to playing a song from a Playlist.

Hmm.
