Back in late 2018, Adobe announced that they were working on a FULL version of Photoshop for ios devices.
Since then there has not been any news about its development or release. Does anyone know anything about this.
Cheers,
P.

I wish Adobe would release it, and fix there silly $9.99 per month fee for using Adobe Rush it is so ridiculous. They force you to sign up for Adobe cloud storage and pay a $9.99 month fee. I don’t need cloud storage, just to get unlimited exports. I wish we could just pay a yearly license fee or something like that.

I’ve been wondering about this myself. Not sure what the hold up is. Hopefully we don’t have to wait until WWDC for an announcement.

Also very curious about this. I’m signed up for their update as mentioned, and have been since it’s announcement and I have yet to receive one update. I’m also a creative cloud member already - not sure if that matters or not, but...

Very worried this project is going to die like AirPower. I bought the new iPad Pro pretty quickly because of the “1.0 version” that was supposed to be released Early this year. Now we’re more than mid-product cycle for the iPad Pro. At this point there’s going to be a better and newer version of the iPad Pro that will be required before it’s even released.

They either need to release it or announce the iPad Upgrade Program lol

There was talk of a 1.0 version with core features to be released in early 2019. Early would possibly mean first quarter. March was the end of the first quarter.

Idk man.

Well, at least that provides some potential context to it. The previous replies didn't have any information at all in relation to the whole "2 days"/"March" thing.

It's for iPad only. Everything from Adobe is now via subscription. If you don't want to pay, don't use it.

Crazy they haven't released it... that was LAST YEAR. And Adobe won't talk about it on twitter... lots of people ask and get no response. They used to replay to each one with updates... So either its vapor - or its about to be released... Your guess is as good as mine - but I'm disappointed.

I think we’ll see it demo’d at WWDC with a release along side iOS 13. The latest rumor is that iOS 13 will ship with font management features within Settings, and a new UI component for picking fonts. It seems plausible to me that Adobe pressured Apple to add those features so that they could recreate the core feature set that they wanted for the first version of Photoshop-on-iOS.

Received this e-mail this week:

Hi Everyone,

I’m Pam Clark and I’ve been in charge of product management for all things Photoshop at Adobe for over a decade. I’m continually inspired by the incredible things you create with Photoshop and all of us at Adobe are excited to bring you the latest update on our progress with Photoshop on iPad as we anticipate our first public launch.

The UX design team has reimagined the Photoshop experience for the small screen with pencil and touch. Engineers are greenlighting more Photoshop features you know and love. Along the way, there have been many challenges and a few great surprises: we’re amazed at how easy and fast it is to open full-size PSDs on iPad, even with thousands of layers.

As lead designer Ryan Hicks says, “It’s Photoshop, but we’ve been very intentional about it not being the same-old Photoshop.” And we’ve added new features, including selections and masking to help you select and perfect every pixel, paint bucket, layers, clone stamp, eye dropper, blur, and text.

Please join the Photoshop team for a chat about Photoshop on your iPad on May 9, 2019 from 12:30-1pm EST, when we’ll broadcast from the sold-out Adobe 99U Conference in New York City.

Look for an email on May 9 with a link to the event.

There’s lots more to come, so check your in-box and stay in touch.

Thanks,
Pam Clark and the Photoshop Team

[doublepost=1557420034][/doublepost]No release date today. Just an update. annoyed that I upgraded my iPad for this and they seem to have no timeline. Won’t even comment on a release date or timeframe.
Buying a new device with the hopes of an option available in the future is always a risky thing.
