I deeply apologize if this has been posted before.
I have an 8-gig 3rd generation iPod, it was windows formated because my main computer at the time was a Windows XP. I sometimes added songs from my grandmother's Mac OS.
I recently just got a new MacBook and I had my iPod plugged in the usb port. I was able to play songs off the iTunes just fine.
After 3 hours or so of it being plugged in, I disconnected it from my laptop and all of my songs were erased (all 544 T.T).
I had to restore it to original settings (deleting all my music). I would not have had too much of a problem if I couldn't reach all of my music on my old computer. I'm currently restoring my library bit-by-bit...
Anyways, I wanted to know if there was a technological reason why my iPod "deleted" itself. I had no problems with it till that.
Thank you.
