I guess I got hit with an update in the past 24 hours. Now, when I hit the left most icon in the bottom, I get a list of YUGE video that take up almost the whole screen. There is no way to see the four or five across grid like they use to present.

I deleted the app.

Yeah, same here. YouTube looked goofy as hell earlier. But now it looks fine.

This may have been an innocent mistake by Google. I’m not gonna hold this one against them since they fixed it so fast.

But does anyone else feel like Google holds back on developing their software for Apple platforms? Just seems like they could do a better job. But are holding back somewhat, maybe because iOS competes with Android?

I wish they would force Google to get rid of the constant reminder for Youtube's subscription. Surely that is breaking some kind of App Store law. It comes up everytime you launch the app after a few seconds. Doesn't matter if you said "no" to it everyday or multiple times a day, it will ask you every bloody time

The latest thing that drives me nuts about Google’s software on an iPhone is when you do a Google search, you get all those little boxes in the search results that are news stories. I think they are called Google AMP’s. In Safari on an iPhone, when you click on one of those boxes, the page that comes up never fits inside Safari. You have to click on the little Info I o at the top of the page. Then you get a dialog box with link to the real news story and not a Google AMP of it. So you click on the link in the dialog box and you go to the web site of the company that wrote the news story. Only now can you read the news story without having to scroll all over the place to read one line of text.

I have no idea if the same thing happens in Chrome or on an Android phone. But I was thinking about this last night and I don’t want to switch from Safari and iPhone. I think I’m gonna switch search engines, I just haven’t gotten around to it yet.
