What Happened?

After the last update to 9.2.1 the 3 colored balls that appear at the bottom of the camera app are no longer colored, but instead are 3 shades of gray.
My wife swears that since the upgrade on her 5S and the colored balls were changed the quality and ability to edit have changed.
Also why don't pink colors come out true to color?

Pinks in her sunrise and sunsets are not even close to real.
Wouldn't do much good to try and show you since you didn't get to see what she was taking the picture of.
She says the balls were colored, not about to question her, but I think they were also.

The icon color represents whether or not filters are being used--when it's in color then a filter is selected and will be applied, when it's without color then no filters will be applied.

By default no filters are applied. So the 'coloured balls' are in grey. Tap on it, select a filter, and you get your 'colored balls'.

Thanks, that's the fix.
Looks like transfer will be the ticket.
Wish there were a way to make the choice a default.
