What happens if i upgrade to 3.0?

I have my iphone 3G jailbroken/unlocked on 2.1? Any hacking group come out with a way to jailbreak and unlock the iphone at 3.0?

The 3.0 jailbreak and unlock should be released no later than Friday so I would wait until then to upgrade.
