Yesterday I signed up for the Apple One bundle with 2TB of storage. I can see that when I go into settings>>>iCloud that I have the 2TB and it looks like my content is already there.
What I want to know is what happens when I add my wife who has a paid storage account too. When she accepts my invitation to the shared iCloud Account, will her content be automatically moved? And will she then be able to cancel her paid account without losing anything? We're most concerned about her photos.
If someone here has gone through the process I would love to here your experience.

Thanks in advance.

I have the same question, and I think this answers it.

I read that too and to be honest I gambled and set it up. I wish it would say somewhere that the person's content will automatically be moved to the 2TB plan. Also it doesn't actually do it automatically. Once I shared the iCloud Storage with my wife she tapped the invitation link in her messages. She accepted the invitation and it looked like it was done. A few minutes later she got a pop-up message saying she was out of iCloud Storage space and was presented with the option to buy more storage.

I told her to just close it and we went into settings for iCloud and after tapping on manage storage there was a link the said "Use family shared storage" (or something very similar). Once she tapped that link it was done and immediately showed how much storage she was using of the 2TB. It also said that she would be getting a prorated refund for the storage she had already paid for.

Apple is really good at some things but they're terrible at explaining certain things especially when it comes to iCloud in general.
