Is there any problems with the app store and itunes on phones that have been jailbroken? I've been searching forever trying to find answers but all I find is "top ten reasons to jailbreak your iphone" or "how to jailbreak iphone".

What I want to know is there any extra hoops you guys have to jump through after the phone is jailbroken or does everything work just like normal? Does iTunes still sync fine? Do I have to "turn off" the jailbreak? Can I still use the app store? etc

You can use it exactly how you did before jailbreak. No difference except you can now fully customise your iPhone.

As stated before, nothing to worry about. Jailbreaking today is easy and done just about with the click of a button. You will be able to use everything the same as you did previously. Now you will have a secondary "app store" if you will in the form of Cydia, Icy, or Rock. You will still sync and back up your phone as you did before.

Do it. I couldn't believe I waited 4 months to JB mine. So worth it.
I waited almost a year(bought it 12/24/08) and was a month away from buying a 3Gs(for video recording) Now I have Qik, Camcorder and Videorecorder... Of course now you can get free video apps in the iTunes that enable video on older(non 3Gs) phones... I'm still happy with the JB for all the cool mods I was able to add... Its not just a phone, its the ultimate(make it your own) gadget!! I can(now) do everything I could/ would do with a 3Gs and much more thanks to Blackra1n!
