Got my wife an IPOD and had it cabled into her Honda so thatthe CD changer and display control the IPOD

She shuts the car off and leaves the IPOD on and I assume the song is still playing...

Does the IPOD play quietly all night long through her playlist or does the "sleep" function stop everything?

Thanks I need to advise her and I am PC literate but this device has a learning curve

The iPod doesn't quite have a learning curve but it's not exactly documented what happens. I can tell you as a Honda owner who has an iPod Aux adapter like you do that the iPod pauses when the car goes off and then goes to sleep.

That's reassuring. Thanks you.

I can go to sleep peacefully now knowing the IPOD is sleeping as well.
And our IPOD is struggling to learn my ways so I believe it does have a learning curve :)

The Aux power has a small amount of power going to it as well, or should. What aux adapter did you buy?

It's a PA15 -HON2

She has NAV and a 6 cd changer.

We were told that we could have Direct control or control from the CD changer/Nav and we had to make a choice....we chose CD control.

When the IPOD is plugged in directly we can not do a thing with it, which is fine.

The control is a bit clumsy. The Scan changes playlist and one of the playlists is named "Direct" and contains the entire contents of the IPOD from A-Z...It seems like to use this in the car, we ned to have playlists.

How does yours work and does this make sense to you?
