Since the new MacBook air comes with flash not preinstalled, what happens when you come across a youtube video for an example. Does it convert it self to play the HTML5 version like iPad does, or does it show the missing plug in?
Opt in for the HTML5 beta.
It's still beta. It doesn't do fullscreen.
Yea, it does.
Fullscreen support is partially implemented. Pressing the fullscreen button will expand the player to fill your browser. If your browser supports a fullscreen option, you can then use that to truly fill the screen
I'm aware of that. None of the browsers do fullscreen, so in the end it wouldn't be fullscreen. Unless there is an extension for this, but that's yet another plug in to install.
Some browsers support full screen. You may just not be using them. ;P
Right.. Chrome does. But Chrome comes with Flash pre-installed..
i use the youtube5 safari extension (http://www.verticalforest.com/2010/06/09/youtube5-html5-converter-for-youtube-videos/)
...
the fans also don't whir up when i watch youtube videos anymore and battery life has improved dramatically when watching youtube videos. highly recommended.
