So, Apple says you can claim a free Lion copy for a Mac purchased from June 06 from themselves directly or through an authorised reseller.

My question is (and I'm sorry if this has been asked previously; I tried searching!), is this a full Mac App Store copy? As in, will this be a completely free App Copy, so I could theoretically re-download it on another of my authorised Macs and install it there, as well as on a newly purchased Mac?

I think the download only applies to the Mac you bought within a month of Lion release. And you would also get it on newly purchased Macs because of the same reason and/or because Lion will already be out :p

I would say you could compare it to what they did with Snow Leopard, but they didn't use the app store method... time will tell how that works out

Well, you're right; time will tell. I just hope Apple will surprise me and mark the Lion copy against my Apple ID, therefore allowing me to view it in the “purchased” tab on my other authorised Macs. I can only hope. :D

Yes. My cousin and I have one account just for Lion and it has been working good thus far. They will probably email everyone whom applies a promo on the day of Lion's release.
