i think i've made up my mind and will be getting a base mac pro but would like to add an extra harddrive without purchasing it overpriced from apple. what brand and model harddrives would you guys recommend? I am looking for something fast, reliable, and 250 gb or above. Also, what tasks would I need to perform after sticking in the new hd? I will be using both os x and windows so should i designate one harddrive per os? I've never used bootcamp before but from what I hear you must partition the HD in order to install windows. What set up would you recommend?

I purchased an additional Western Digital WD2500KS. My friend likes the Seagate 7200.9 or 7200.10 drives. They each have their pros/cons, but I don't think you will notice much of a difference. Some say the WD is quieter, while some say the Seagate is quieter :)

I would just get the cheaper one.
