what has changed in the cooling system?

I've been reading that the new 13" MBA runs cooler and the fan doesnt turn on as often, considering that the processor is the same what did they change to make it run cooler? Is there some heat exchanger now?

I would imagine the flash drive has an impact on the temperature. Moving parts release heat.

First and foremost the new MBAs are using ULV C2D that has a lower TDP then its predecessors. I don't believe revision B MBAs used Ultra Low Voltage chip sets so they ran hot, well hotter then this current set.

The 11" models have ULV processors. However, the 13" models have the same LV processors that were in the Rev B. Apple apparently did improve the cooling system using heat pipes, which help reduce the throttling down that the Rev Bs did quite often.

I was referring to the 13" (not the 11") models processors- which I am pretty sure use the same processor. They must have done something - anyone know what from the teardown photos?

I just got a refurb 2.13GHz 128GB SSD Air, a previous generation revision C. I know the new ones are better with heat, will I run into any problems with mine?

I have a 1.86GHz Rev B and it gets pretty hot if I'm running Parallels, or if I have Safari, Entourage, and iTunes running at the same time. Take it easy on the multitasking and you should be fine.
