Over the past few months of research on the iMac I have noticed that the HDD's are anything from a Seagate, Western Digital or an Hitachi. Are there any other brands found in the iMac? Which one is the best? (as in silent)

My October 27" i7 iMac deals with a Seagate. Which is rather noisy. 
So, yeah. Seagate is definately the noisiest.

I have the 2TB drive (WD i belive...) and I think it is rather silent. I have to put my ear close to the iMac to be able to hear it. I think my ears are all ok...

2TB is Hitachi (the cheapest 2TB 7200rpm drive) but 1TB can be either Seagate (noisy) or WD, possibly Hitachi as well
