So, are you Photoshopped in, or were you actually there with her?

BTW, I'm a sucker for the eyeglasses (not yours :)). I've always thought she was cute.

Edit: www.lisaloeb.com

She's a singer. Here most known song is probably 'Stay'.

not to be rude or anything, but who the hell is Lisa Loeb?

90's female vocalist, she was popular for a year or so, i think she was involved in promoting female rights too. not a bad voice, but trite lyrics and delivery in my opinion.

not to be rude or anything, shouldn't this go in the Pictures thread?

Ummm, if I could move it I guess so. But a Picture Gallery forum is no good for photos?

No Photoshop. The real deal.

I don't see a problem with a new thread. If some other mod does, so be it, but I'm not worried about it being moved.

Damn, I'm envious. I've met quite a few famous people, but none of them are anywhere NEAR as cute as Lisa Loeb. (I get to meet folks like Bill Gates and Fred Dalton Thompson. Not cute AT ALL.)

Now if only I could get her away from Dweezil Zappa (her husband)... sigh. :)

Stay

You say I only hear what I want to.
You say I talk so all the time so.
And I thought what I felt was simple,
and I thought that I don't belong,
and now that I am leaving,
now I know that I did something wrong 'cause I missed you.
Yeah yeah, I missed you.
And you say I only hear what I want to:
I don't listen hard,
don't pay attention to the distance that you're running
to anyone, anywhere,
I don't understand if you really care,
I'm only hearing negative: no, no, no.
So I turned the radio on, I turned the radio up,
and this woman was singing my song:
lover's in love, and the other's run away,
lover is crying 'cause the other won't stay.
Some of us hover when we weep for the other who was
dying since the day they were born.
Well, well, this is not that;
I think that I'm throwing, but I'm thrown.
And I thought I'd live forever, but now I'm not so sure.
You try to tell me that I'm clever,
but that won't take me anyhow, or anywhere with you.
You said that I was naive,
and I thought that I was strong.
I thought, "hey, I can leave, I can leave."
Oh, but now I know that I was wrong, 'cause I missed you.
Yeah, I miss you.
You said, "I caught you 'cause I want you and one day I'll let you go."
You try to give away a keeper, or keep me 'cause you know you're just
scared to lose.
And you say, "Stay."
And you say I only hear what I want to.

Well then you are in luck. She and Dweezil broke up like a year ago.

So you're telling me there's a chance. :p

haha, I could give you her cell number ;) Just kidding, I would never give a private number out to anyone.

I worked with her and Dweezil about a year ago on their cookbook. Nice people.

No, but you could tell her that there's a 37 year old art collector in Charlotte who'd do just about anything to take her out to dinner. ;)

Just because you posted before me Mr J, doesn't mean you get first dibbs... get in line fella. ;) :D

Ah, yes – Lisa Loeb. I remember her, a bit of a one-hit wonder (so far as the UK charts are concerned. I seem to recall she won a Brit award for Best International Newcomer or something like that, and it was clear that Tom Jones (who was presenting the award) didn't have a clue who the hell she was. :D
