Meh. Plenty of ways to check that already using your iPhone/iPad/Mac. Wouldn't hurt, though, I guess.

While it does display on the phone but I do like this concept and would be nice to see what % it is in without having to open the lid.

Edit to add: while it does have the small dot on the front and pushing the button does lit it up. But would be nice to indicate that if it’s 75% charged should show like yellowish orange color, and if it is 40% then it should be more on the red side. Just my opinion.

I think this is a great concept.
The whip out the phone, turn on, unlock, swipe to the info page is silly compared to simply looking at the AirPods case.
By the check it on the phone “logic”, why bother showing the battery in the upper right of the phone, you can check it on the info page.
