What if they put a quad core in an iMac?

I have an iMac already (love it). A 2.8 Ghz, 24" beauty with a measly 750 Gb. HDD and an ATI 256 Mb video card.
So. If Apple releases a quad core with an updated 512 Mb card (not the current one) should I upgrade so soon? I can hardly believe how far technology has advanced since I bought mine (all of a year ago...).
I have a 250 Gb partition on which I run Windows XP home as well as OSX.
What say you?

I doubt it will be worth the money in your case. The 2.27GHz quad-core will, at best, match the price of the current 3.06GHz dual core and the 2.53GHz quad-core would likely be $2499.
