Then apple deserves to go down just like palm because they just invited those journalists for nothing. They could have just informed those journalists to write articles about it. It will be about iphone 4 issues. We just don't know what or how they will talk about it.

Businesses will usually save Fridays for bad news. I'm betting on a recall, or else a Steve Jobs demo on how to properly hold the iP4.

Has nothing to do with that IMO. It has more to do with the fact that they know damn well peoples 30 day return policy is getting closer to expiring. So before they start gettin a plethora of returns they want to unveil their fix. Apple is hardly afraid of droid either. Hell you can stroll right onto Verizon's website right now and buy one with ease.

I assure you tomorrow is not about the lame ass white iPhone. ;)

I would seriously doubt a recall because that will hurt their domestic sales as well as launch on international plans. I would expect like gift cards, so people can go out and buy bumpers.

I doubt that! Whatever they announce, it's gonna be bad. I'm gonna buy some put options on their stock today. When it tanks tomorrow and over the next couple weeks, I'll get rich! LOL

That would be interesting

I'll be happy then. I've been waiting for the White iPhone 4 for my second purchase. The antenna problem is a "non-issue" for me on my black phone. All the places I go have 4 or 5 bars of signal, so I can't see a problem no matter how I hold my phone.

Seriously? Can you people just not read or are you in your own little fantasy world?

Read the Engadget headline about this story!:

Headline says it all folks. Obviously the company is going to be getting out in front of this antenna drama (finally). We've been invited and we'll be there, reporting live! It all happens at 10AM PT, Friday the 16th.

They were notified, they were invited and they said it's about the antenna. I just don't get this forum sometimes.

that's what i'm thinking is going to happen. if they don't do the right thing, and fix the antenna issue for everyone that's experiencing it, then i'll start looking for an alternative phone.

they already dropped the ball with the yellow screen imacs, and this will only get the snowball rolling.

If they ignore the Proximity Sensor issue, that will be their next firestorm. If they're smart they'll address it all in one sitting.

If ALL they do is announce a white iPhone, it will be the first time I have lost faith in Apple as a company. This problem will not just go away, and the more they ignore it, the more it is going to fester.

Then I will exercise their return policy with the extended no-restocking-fee to return my black 16GB iPhone 4 and get a white 32GB iPhone 4. ;)

Question!!!

So I have a 16gb already and am going to trade it for a 32gb today. Should I wait to hear what the announcement is?

I am betting on a release date for the software patch and maybe something about a free or cheap Apple bumper maybe a release date at the end for the white phone but I wouldn't go putting all your Apples in one basket hoping for a recall or $ back.

Whatever happens it should be interesting

So then you don't believe Engadget when they say this conference is about the antenna issues?

I ask because you say if all they do is announce the white iphone, which leads me to believe you think that they won't address the antenna even though the major blog site that was invited said they will.

I think they will address the antenna. However, I doubt the major blog site knows much more then we do at this point.

It just seems they wouldn't mention it if they didn't know what it was about. They were invited, I'm pretty sure they asked what the general purpose of the event was.

They say obviously it's about the antenna, that's a bold statement to make and get peoples hopes up. Doesn't seem like Engadget to do that.
