WHAT IF: We didn't make it into the Yosemite public beta?

hello all,
I am kind of disappointed right now cause I just chatted with AppleCare to get some answers about the Yosemite public beta. And the advisor said some of his co-workers have already received their codes, but he didn't! So what if.....everyone who is waiting for the public beta isn't going to get it at all?
What do you guys think???

Life on Earth, as we know it, would end...and we might have to wait for the Yosemite release.

That's a worst case analysis, of course....:rolleyes:
 
Personally, if I didn't get in the beta, I'd go to Apple Headquarters and poop on their door. All over that shimmering glass.

1. If the public beta was launched, you would have heard about it on here! All those on the program would be telling you about how great it is.. Or how it is full of bugs..

2. If you really can't wait for the full release in the autumn, then join the Developer program and you can get access to legitimate beta updates..

If someone didn't get into the beta they'll just "acquire" the beta installer like 70% of the current DP3 users, obviously.

Do you believe everything you are told by a support rep? I would not. He is probably NOT talking about the Public Beta. He was confused.

Apple employees often seem to know less than the customer. That's been my experience a few times. Phone support are usual super nice though. Anyone would think part of the skills necessary for being employed by Apple was knowing Apple products and services inside out!

Yes, I now think that he was confused about the public beta. I dont see how it would have been released the day of WWDC. That wouldn't make any sense.

Oh man. I don't think I'll be able to continue living anymore. Something must be done in order for this problem not to occur :(

Public beta should be coming out either next week or the week after that. Apple said they are close to releasing it.

Awesome, I am so glad we finally have some legit info on when we will get this public beta.
 
Apple employees get their own codes entirely separate from the public beta process.

Where has that been stated? It hasn’t been reported on any of the usual sites and if Apple had said something, you bet it would have made front page here.

There are other ways to get it.. ;)

Apple didn't make an official statement, but a source close to Apple says that it should be ready late this month (next week) or early next month (the week after)
 
I'm pretty sure the public beta will be available the same way the DP is now available to everyone. 30 seconds of legwork on Google and it could be yours;)
