In "About This Mac" it states my Imac is a - (20", mid 2009) - 2ghz intel core 2 duo - 4gb 1067 Mhz DDR3 - NVIDIA Geforce 9400 256mb and the serial number.

When I look it up on everymac, it states it is an Education version and it is EMC 2266.

But, on the machine base, it states it is an A1224 the same as everymac but the EMC number there is EMC 2316.

The 20" EC2316 that I can find on everymac is 2.26MHz and not 2Mhz as mine states.

A little confusing. Does anyone know which to believe and why they differ?

Thanks.

More than likely the information in About This Mac is correct. You should be able to pull up your exact config by pasting in your Mac's serial number and looking it up on EveryMac here.

Thanks redheeler, you are right. The serial I have brings up the 2.0Ghz model the same as my "About This Mac".
