So I have an iphone SE with ony 16GB and I am getting tired of the not enough space message.

Looking for an update but to be honest don't know the difference between all the models. I know they are all expensive.....I do not want the most expensive.

Use my phone a a phone and for taking pictures, surfing on the web etc.

Which new iPhone should I buy?

Thanks

You really need to go to the Apple store so you can see all the models in one place.

Do you like a big screen or small screen?

the Max is 6.5 Inches, that's my personal favorite
The regular is 5.8 inches, closest to the SE
R series is 6.1 inches but LCD, the other 2 are OLED displays.

Honestly it comes down to preferences, the 2 OLEDs will have triple cameras, where the R will have 2. All three will have the same Processor, but the R will likely have 1 less GB of RAM.

I hear you about how expensive the phones are. Jucj85 mentions the newest premium phones.

You could also look at an iPhone 8 or perhaps even a 7.

Going with a refurbished X, XR or 8 might be a viable option for you, but you should really go to a store and try which one you like best.

Do you have a budget?

Which iPhone models would you consider upgrading to?

How much more storage would you actually need for your usage?

[Those are all questions that would be helpful addressing in your post before making any recommendations.]

New ones are right around the corner. I would wait. You might find one of the new ones appealing or it will drive down the prices of older models.

Kinda really depends on what your looking for? Also what size phone you want. But the iPhone 8 and X start with 64GB memory and have good cameras, the X has a better one as it has dual cameras on the back.

What’s your budget?

Tough choice. You could get a SE with more storage (up to 128 GB), a 6s (Plus), 7 (Plus), 8 (Plus), X, Xr, Xs or Xs Max. Some you can't get new anymore like the SE / 6s and X will likely be used or refurbished. And next month Apple will launch new iPhones. You have so many choices right now. Explain what phone you like. Which size you prefer? How much storage will be enough for you? What is your budget?

I recommend you go into a shop and look at the different sizes first. Screen is the main interface as you know and you should feel comfortable with that. Once you have an idea what screen size you prefer you will get even better advice here if you have more to say about your use case than taking pictures and surfing the web. All iPhones do that pretty well.

If you want the more cheaper options I would go for the either the 8 or the XR this way you can future proof your phone without having to pay the current flagship prices.

Thanks guys, Im gonna wait and see what is announced and see if prices drop.

I could afford the XR or the XS - I think 64gb would be enough space for me. Is there major difference between those? I know the XS is supposed to be better - why?
What would you do??

Good idea to wait. Then you will have all the information required to weigh your options.

You can compare them if you want: https://www.apple.com/iphone/compare/

Main difference would be the higher resolution OLED screen, a dual camera with a second telephoto lens for optical zoom, IP68 rating (vs. IP 67 on Xr), smaller bezels and a HDR10 compatible display.

Depends on which parts do you rely on most. If you want the ultimate display/camera on an iPhone - Xs. If you want the ultimate battery on an iPhone - Xr.
