I want to buy a new iPod. At first I was looking at an iPod Touch since I have iTunes match and wouldn't have to constantly sync it. Since then, my friend told me about the iPod classic. Now I'm really considering the classic since there would be no need to ever replace it. (My music collection isn't that large at 11gb, but it is growing.) I have an iPhone too and I just thought that it would seem pointless to get an iPod touch. The only thing turning me away from the Classic is that I'd have to constantly sync it. If I were to get the touch I would buy the largest capacity and it just seems silly paying that much for a device that is going to be obsolete in the next year. What I'm looking for is a long term device.
Any suggestions?

Get the Classic. It won't become obsolete. Again, it has the ClickWheel interface, which is better in a lot of situations. And most people carry their phone around with them most of the time, so instead of updating your secondary device to make sure it doesn't become obsolete (At least with software support), it would probably be smarter to get the Classic, especially when you have more storage with it.

I would also go for the classic :)

Nothing beats a good iPod!!
