What is a type -50 error, can't even restore ??

Hi,

My main goal is to have my iphone in best condition, perhaps for that it has to be pwned but it can't even be restored.

It's been a little bit of an odissey for me after spending so many hours on the internet looking for a possible answer. I have upgraded (7.7)/downgraded (7.5) iTunes, tried to install firmware version 2.0, tried to pwn, tried to use any of them to restore my iphone and hasn't gone well. iTunes says "The iPhone couldn't be restored. An unknown error has ocurred (-50)".

I hope I can get ahead, it must be so cool to be enjoying one's pwned iPhone. (I have looked for quite a bit , (for almost a week), on the net without getting something to solve this problem). I also downloaded pwnage tool 2.0 and 2.01 and tried to do some pwning but unsuccesfully.

Thank you very much in advance for your help,

igmolinav

P.S. I am using an ibook G4 and an iPhone with model # A1203

i get the same problem too. but i'm not even trying to do anything with my iPhone! whenever i try to access iTunes store, it says "We could not complete your iTunes Store request. An unknown error occurred (-50). There was an error in the iTunes Store. Please try again later" Doesn't anyone know how to fix it?

Hi,

Thank you for your repply : ) !!!

I hope someone can help us. If it helps to say that I accidentally upgraded iTunes to 7.7, and then downgraded to 7.5. However, I don't think I did any Firmware upgrade from 1.1.4

My iTunes is currently 7.7
and i found out that if you access your iTunes from another website, i could access the store for about 10 minutes. then it went back... so weird.
