I am using MetaX to tag my movies for itunes and it works great. It does not work well for tv shows though. Is there a better app for tagging tv shows or would I have to do it the old fashioned way (tagging each field myself). Thanks in advance for any advice!

Dam that's a awesome program. I just tagged 6 episodes of "Everybody hates Chris" flawlessly. Thanks a lot!

iFlicks. Beautiful interface, powerful, and easy to use.

gonna have to check this out, seems I always have to go to amazon to get cover art because Meta-X cant find it....

Another happy Identify user here. I used to use MetaX but find Identify much easier to use.

I have to say I use both MetaX and iDentify. Both have good and bads.

Just never seems there is that one all be all Tagging program.

tv shows and obscure movies, it cannot find....

I take my eyetv recordings and transcode them to my itunes library and meta-x cant get current season information.

true that. like I said, not a one all program to be had. LOL

MetaX has a better interface but iDentify seems to work better. I downloaded it today and immediately registered my copy, because I wanted automated iTunes import. Identify is also faster.

I used to use MetaX, but i ended up manually putting in more than MetaX was pulling. Now that I use iFlicks, the only thing I've EVER had to do is slightly fix the title of an oddly named file, then iFlicks would get it perfectly.

iFlicks covered my entire 700-800GB video library. Every episode of 15 different TV shows, most not on the air anymore, and a few hundred movies.

I use Identify and am really happy with it. never had any problems with it picking up any mainstream tv/movies. some obscure stuff or one off specials I've had to fill in, but that's it.

IFlicks.

Absolutely the best Ive used. Even throwing previously tagged movies into it to redo incomplete stuff.

As for TV shows, never fails me, as long as name is right.
