Hello, I

Mac Air M1 2020, I see a file in Activity monitor “Carbon Component Scanner XPC, kind Intel” is this malware, virus or part of Rosetta even though under Rosetta files I can’t see any Carbon xxx
PS: How would you delete it?
Thanks

It's part of macOS
/System/Library/Frameworks/AudioToolbox.framework/XPCServices/CarbonComponentScannerXPC.xpc

You right it's the Audio toolbox. Thank you PS: can you delete it or macOS needs it?

You can not permanently delete it. You can terminate the process from Activity Monitor.
macOS probably needs it for compatibility with older hardware/software.
