Well, basically:
1. Opening Mail, then attempting to 3D Touch OR regular tap on an email to preview it would see the email change to grey (letting you know its been tapped) but doesn't actually open. The app then freezes entirely until force closed. The same happens in Messages.
2. After the above happens, tapping on ANY app icon on the home screen would see the icon change colour, indicating its been pressed, but the app won't actually open. It's as if the system is trying to open the app, but can't and decides to give up on the action. This also happens on its own occasionally, without the first point occurring.
3. After point number 2 happens, within a few seconds, the whole system ui disappears, leaving me with a blurry background wallpaper (I've uploaded an image to the post showing what I mean). When its in this state, nothing responds except for the physical buttons, no notification centre, no control centre, there's no icon to press on the home screen, and notifications don't come through. This state can't be fixed without a force restart.
I've attempted to Update from recovery mode to avoid the hassle of setting up as a new phone, but the problem remained. I then did a complete restore from Recovery, and set up as a new device. Even after this, the DumpPanic files appeared again.
I've done some research to find that DumpPanic is the process by which the system dumps a Kernel Panic file into the Analytics for diagnosis. What I can't find however, is if this means the phone is actually having a Panic, or is just flirting with one. There's no actual Panic.ips in the Analytics yet, which is something good at least.
