I just got an iPod Touch 8GB w/my Macbook Pro I ordered. I got this engraved:

"If you find this give it to
Sam Futterman k thanks lol." (thats my name!)

Haha, mine says 4GB on my Nano. Never had the ability to engrave since I'm always buying refurbs from Apple site. If I did ever buy new, I'd engrave something like ...

"Don't look at my shiny ass!" or I'd just be original and just engrave my first and last name.

Yeah I was trying to go for something in the middle. More original than just my first and last name, but still including it in case it ever gets lost :p. Thats how I got:

"If you find this give it to
Sam Futterman k thanks lol."

My battered 40gb 4G still has:

Das Lied schläft
in der Maschine

When I get a new one it'll either have:

In der Maschine
schläft das Lied

Or

Maschine träumt
das Lied

"Powered by Infinate Improbability Drive"

It was only later that I realized that I had misspelled infinite. Oh well

I had originally wanted to do something from "Quest for the Holy Grail" but my favorite quotes are too long :p

Surely this quote would fit:

my current ipod came from best buy...so no engraving

i always wanted to get this engraved, but it wouldnt ever fit (at some point i will get this professional engraved)

"and those who were seen dancing were thought to be crazy by those who couldn't hear the music -f. nietzsche"

great quote for an ipod in particular, i think, but on my old ipod i ended up getting this instead:

"we have art to save ourselves from the truth. -f. nietzsche"

I'm always switching my devices so i'm always selling my old ones, it wouldnt be in my best interest to get engraving and even less my name.

In many of the more relaxed civilizations on the Outer Eastern Rim of the Galaxy, my Ipod has already supplanted the great Encyclopedia Galactica as the standard repository of all knowledge and wisdom, for though it has many omissions and contains much that is apocryphal, or at least wildly inaccurate, it scores over the older, more pedestrian work in two important respects. First, it is slightly cheaper; and secondly it has the words "Don't Panic" inscribed in large friendly letters on its back.

Yes I know I am a geek.

Gave the family iPod Touch for Xmas '07...

On my step son's the title of an old Bing Crosby song played in National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation: Mele Kalikimaka
On my son's who is a DJ: Don't play what's there, play what's not there. Miles Davis
On my step daughter's who loves Country: I hope you dance

And on my Nano that my husband gave me 2 ys ago: Psalm 150:5,6 A favorite verse of mine, I'm a drummer... "Praise Him with the clash of cymbals praise Him with resounding cymbals. Let every thing that has breath praise the Lord..."
