iTunes store is useless for me. Whenever trying to rent movies I get pauses after 20 mins saying your movie will resume in 3 hours. I have 15 Meg download. Changed dns to my local ISP VS google. Same problems exist. Outside of Netflix and local media on iMac it's worthless

It is actually pretty disappointing with the lack of content available directly to the AT2 via itunes rental. Even though I have jailbroken it and installed Hulu and a few other extras, I like the amount of stuff on Itunes. I just cant get it directly. I either have to rent it or buy it and then air share it. I figured the entire I tunes library for shows and movies would have been available if not through scrolling a basic search .

If you're in a dorm, I imagine that any TV you have will be pretty close to your mac. In that case, I'd just save your money and plug your TV into your macbook.

My ATV works great for me because I have it plugged into my TV and surround sound system in my living room. I rooted it, installed Plex, and have been enjoying my HD content on my TV ever since. I also like being able to stream my music from my mac to my stereo system.

I'm in the Uk so we don't get Netflix on ATV2. I am enjoying itunes rentals through the Apple TV though, although the film choice could be wider?

I am hoping for a Netflix style add-on to come to ATV, also apps, such as iplayer (BBC) and other on-demand TV services would enable Apple to sell millions more!

It is worth it, but could be more.
