iPod What is Podcasts?

I just downloaded iTunes 4.9 for Windows
It adds "Podcasts" in source
Anyone know what is it?
 
Podcasts are like radio shows which can be downloaded as MP3s, so that people can listen to them at more conveinient times, eg. on the subway.
