New to the studio and was wondering what is actually still running when you put your studio to sleep?

Is the fan running?

Some part of the CPU must be running as it is still listening for and reacting to Siri.

When my studio and monitor are up and running, yet idling, it is using about 30-32 watts according to the APC.

When put it to sleep I am seeing 14-15 watts.

You can get a quick report in Terminal by running pmset -g. And if you run this on a laptop, the hibernatemode number will tell you a lot about what's going on, just get a report on the number and then see what it means.

And a nice little writeup here about what may be going on in the background.

Finally, you can do a lot with the pmset command. A lot of control via the Terminal.

And, just found an interesting report command from that article, pmset -g stats: "prints the counts for number sleeps and wakes system has gone thru since boot."
