just wondering why its taking so long? people were saying they would have it unlocked within days? any thoughts? did apple figure out a fool proof way to lock it? I noticed that when I used the erase all settings and data option, my phone went into a locked mode that required connecting back to iTunes, which didnt happen on the first version...

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 2_0 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/525.18.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1.1 Mobile/5A347 Safari/525.20)

it's not like they r being payed to unlock it. Be patient...

Remember that the original iPhone was thought to be unlockable by the devteam until iPhoneSIMfree - a company charging for unlocks found a method to unlock.

Then the devteam looked at what they did and found a way to unlock.

The original phone was out in June but was not unlocked until September!

It has been a week and they are already making progress so be patient - soon enough I am sure it will be unlocked!

patience, thechidz. the phone has only just been released. plus it's much more difficult and expensive for those hackers to get hold of phones to experiment with since they have to take out a contract now.
