While watching the press conference, I couldn't help but notice a small button next to the slider on the wake screen of the iPad. Here is the best picture I could find on Apple's Website:

Any idea on what that button does? Just curious. :D

It turns your iPad into "Picture Frame Mode" which displays your photos like those digital picture frames do.

I believe it's simply a lock sign showing that the device is locked.

I'm not so sure. Looks more like a square to me, and they already have lock icon on the very top bar like the iPhone/iPod Touch.

On the screen? That's the button that starts the Photo Slide Show. It was on a video...somwhere:D

Steve mentions it in the keynote. He said something about having it display your slideshows while your iPad is charging.
