What is the best Android phone currently available?

Hi all. I've been using the iPhone4 since launch day last year ... my first iPhone and loving it!

I dont know much about Android, so I've come here looking for expert info from you guys. I'd like to hear opinions on Android hardware currently out there. What is currently the best Android phone available? Are new devices/updates due anytime soon? How does what is available compare to the iPhone4?

The Samsung Galaxy S2 is the best Android phone yet. It's a Dual core 1.2Ghz processor, 1Gb RAM, a SuperAMOLED Plus screen.


It's supposedly supposed to release in the US in August/September. But as of now, it's only available in Europe, and Korea. (Although you are free to buy it unlocked from there, and use on AT&T).


This is just spec-wise. There are 4G phones on Verizon/Sprint, but they lack the processing speed/screen of the Galaxy S2

I'm in Europe so looks like the best available is the Galaxy S2?

Is this a new phone? Is there anything else coming soon to rival this or the iPhone4 (with the obvious exception of the iPhone5)?

I'm in Europe too and I still would choose the sensation. The galaxy's biggest problem is it tries to be an iPhone and fails!

Yes, it's very new.

The other phone that would be coming up would be the next Nexus (Prime?), although it isn't yet announced. It's rumored to have an Oct/Nov release date.
