Sorry but I'm really awful when it comes to these things. Can someone recommend me the best monitor I should buy for my mac pro 2013 that will run great. I'd really appreciate it!

Thank you.

I'm in love with my new LG 31MU97-B. Works great with my 2013 Mac Pro. Sometimes takes a few extra seconds to wake up from sleep, the speakers suck, and the on screen menu is clunky, but that panel is incredible. It's 4k, 10-bit, and beautiful. My old Thunderbolt display died and, after trying a different LG and Dell monitors, I picked the 31MU97-B up and have decided to keep it.

The primary knock I've heard on it is that it tends to die after 16 months or so. As such, I recommend an extended warranty if you go that route.

That's a really difficult one because it depends on:
1. Your requirements i.e. What u will use the monitor for
2. Your budget
3. The resolution u need
4. Size of the screen

Can u be a little more specific plz. There are hundreds of monitors to choose from
Im sorry. Your right.

1. Logic Pro X
2. Maybe a 1000 dollars or so as long as the performance makes up for the cost
3. I don't know but i guess 4k or 5k is what its about now adays?
4. At least 27 I guess but probably bigger with all these wide screens etc. I'm still using the old Apple LED cinema display 24.

I should also add that I'm not in a extreme hurry so if something will be released later this year that is worth waiting for I'm ok with that since I already waited this long. I also read about the LG 32UD99 which I think seems to be a nice monitor but I'm not sure if it will work with my Mac Pro 2013 as it uses usb-c.

For $999 this is the best monitor available for semipro video editing and colouring IMO.
If u have enough money to stretch and a big enough work area I would get 2 of these. But at 34inches one should be enough to satisfy your needs.

The other alternative is 2 or 4

x Dell U2713H LED's. I use 4 of them and they have been THX calibrated. Rec 709 out the box for perfect color correction work. But they are only 2K.
Being a post and visual effects supervisor/artist for years my advise is that you are rarely going to display out at 4K native res unless your Mac can manage. Generally the end 4K result to client is shown on a big 55 - 75 inch viewing screen hence I natively work in 2K and output to 4K on a big 65inch UHD display.
I only use Dell screens for commercials, docks and music vids as I trust the color reproduction on them and their swop out policy is unrivalled.

For big visual effects work on feature films I use 2 Eizo ColorEdge CG318-4K displays but those retail at roughly $5700 so its serious pro kit.

Good luck with whatever u choose.

The Dell 27" P2715Q is 4K at $528 or so (https://www.neweggbusiness.com/product/product.aspx?item=9b-24-260-238), and is a good monitor. If you don't need print production quality color, it's a good choice.

Just tell your Apple that it's a retina display or the fonts will be very small...
