What is the Best Way to Get An iPhone on 6/29?

Alright, we now all know that Friday, 6/29/2007, is D-Day for the iPhone, at 6:00 pm.

Now, that is a Friday, and it is right after work -- so it is reasonable to assume that folks will be rushing over to Apple stores and AT&T stores to grab the iPhone.

My question is, what is the best plan of attack to grab the iPhone on that day before it is sold out? (I am not talking about paying a premium on eBay or paying to cut a line.) I am talking about CREATIVE ways to get one.

I am all ears. Share your ideas.
 
I know this wont exactly help you, but have a good friend be a ATT manager like me!!! I know you said not to pay to cut, but what about slipping a 20 at a ATT employee to not save one for you, because that would be bad, but to text you whenever he/she sees the first people waiting for the iphone that way you could get down there!? My friend will text me whenever someone get into line and I will be there within 10 minutes to get into line myself, but I would get there around 4 anyways, now they said it goes on sale at 6, but that you cant get your contract and stuff ready before that!?! Tell George Bush that they are hiding WMDs in your local Apple store. Then when the troops come rushing in, in the midst of the chaos, sneak in and grab one. By the time George figures out that there are no WMDs there, Apple will have already released rev2 of the iPhone.

Your grammar is atrocious. My grammar and spelling are usually a little off, but I can barley understand what you are saying. Proof read your posts. It might help.

Please help me out.

I am willing to do anything to get my hands on the iPhone. ANYTHING.
 
Try to find a Apple store rather than a Cingular/AT&T store.

Reason being it will be more than likely that Apple stores will be carrying more iPhones and Cingular stores being more limited. There are a lot more Cingular stores than apple stores.


Now that isn't a fact. It's just likely.

I'm sure you will get your hands on one, because it's reported that 3,000,000 of them will be ready.
 
The main Apple store in my area is at the MOA (aka the god forsaken Mall of Amerika) nice thing is there is an AT&T store one floor up, so I will be at the Apple store and have a friend posted at the AT&T store. I would assume more people will go to the Apple store as it is an Apple product, and frankly I don't find the AT&T stores to be a comfortable place to shop, no phone store seems to be.

I will be swinging by through out the day, but plan on staying at around 4.

The best plan is to do what Paris Hilton did (yeah, really) and do not drink or eat for the day then you will have less chances of losing a place in line to hit the restroom.
