free or Paid app

post what you think is the best :)

im lookin to replace the weather channel

Pocket Weather is by far my favorite. I just love how simple it is and the push-badge for the current temp.

I use weatherIcon so the push badge, I dont need

is pocket weather better then Megaweather?

I've tried a bunch and have settled back on The Weather Channel. I even bought the ad-free version. It isn't the prettiest, but it has the best information, at least for where I am. It includes radar, which is important in tornado country.

I have CurrentTemp for the badge with the present temperature, which is pushed on an hourly basis.

Weather Bug Elite lurks on a back page, not quite consigned to oblivion, but I haven't used it in a long time.

I also have WeatherAlert, which just pushes notice of weather alerts - I guess that's what its name says. So I have three apps, one for push for current temperature, one for push of weather alerts, and one for the forecast and radar. If I could get that all in one application, I'd be really interested in that!

I used to be the biggest fan of Fizz Weather but recently switched the The Weather Channel Max.

Not the greatest UI but it has hourly updates as well as beach information.

I've Used Tons...

I paid $2.99 for Deluxeware's weather app and it is a disgrace! They have since renamed the app so they can release the same garbage again under a different name without the negative reviews. Make sure you look for an app that gives you WEATHER ALERTS! - Not just one that looks pretty. I then paid $.99 for Weatherbug's app. I hate all of their desktop stuff, but the iPhone app is ad free, has a moving radar that lets you zoom in, and has worked great. I use it to watch storms go by!

Wunderground.com (free forecasts) has a nice iPhone version, plus a "Wundermap" web app with pinch-zoomable radar.

MyWeather has full-screen radar that you can zoom down to street level, but their forecasts are terrible.

I've downloaded & gone through a lot of weather apps looking for the perfect one and so far it doesn't exist .I have MyWeather,AccuWeather,Weather Channel,Pocket Weather but I usually find myself going to WxFix Standard and Weather Bug Elite.

WxFix & Weather Bug Elite are pulling the weather info from a local wether station and not a Logan Airport(8-10 miles away)like the rest of the weather apps.

WxFix has a great radar & map where you can drop multiple pins for forecasts in that area.

I do really like Pocket Weather's temp on their badge

I wish Weather Underground had their own app

I subscribe to Weather Underground's ($5/year). By using that in conjunction with their site http://i.wund.com (and bookmarking the cities I want) it's pretty much all I need. Add in the Weather Radar app and it's not really necessary to ever watch a forecaster again.

If someone put the info and ease of use between those two ways, it'd be a great app. Tried most if the apps mentioned, and none do it as good IMHO.
