First and foremost, I own legal, retail versions of Windows 98, and Windows 2000, along with an OEM installation XP Disc and keys that aren't in use.

I want to get XP SP2 on my MacBook to play games, but don't want to spend a fortune to do so.

Help would be much appreciated!

You can use the OEM, but it must be SP2. If it's not - you may be able to package SP2 with it and burn a new disc, but I forget what that process is called.

All right, I've managed to create a disc, but will an OEM version work in a Macbook? The disc is from a computer that is in use, but the extra key I have is from a deceased laptop.

OEM keys are not always interchangeable, so it might not work, but it's worth a try.

Let's hope so. Both versions are for Windows XP Home and are bare software (no bundled applications) so with soem luck, it'l work.

Are there any major differences between Bootcamp 1.2 and what we'll expect in the final release with Leopard?
