That's a good thread, and the short answer is that 2700MB/s is about the limit over a single TB4 bus. If you need more than that, you can set up some flavour of RAID across multiple drives connected to multiple ports/busses.

If you absolutely need speed and don't want to roll your own solution, Iodyne offers this monster at a similarly gargantuan price....

Thank you both. Very useful information. I think a single TB4 drive will be enough for me.
