What does the Field Test App do? I insalled the ported version of "Finder" and accidently hit it. Screen went black and nothing happened so I rebooted the phone and my icons were all over the place.

Signal strength

It removes the signal bars and gives you a "real" signal reading. It can do all kinds of other things, but unless you're a cellular technician, it is jibberish. Anyway, to access the field app. Dial *3001#12345#*. The numbers that replace the bars mean, -105 barely holding onto 3G signal, -75 excellent reception. The lower the (-) number, higher actual integer, the better the signal.......

Thanks for the reply... Yeah I accidently tapped the actual icon. Thought for sure I messed up my phone.

Appreciate it, thanks

A nice utility for debugging situations. But .... I miss the 1.1.4 version. All the visible cell tower information was updated and on a single screen.
