What Is The iDisk Secret Recipe?

I work with video files behind a government firewall. We tried FTP, Box, Dropbox and other cloud storage systems when I needed to share files with clients and editors and all failed.

iDisk in MobileMe works like a charm. Why?

The reason I ask is I need a back-up in case iDisk in iCloud does not work the same way (and fails).

There is no iDisk in iCloud.

No clue why it works, it just might not be in use enough to be explicity blocked.
