Since the Macbook Airs should be released soon, I wanted to know other people's opinion on protective sleeves and the best way to go about protecting an 11" MBA.

I'm planning on purchasing a MBA when they are released. I would have to carry it in a backpack, which really worries me.

I am planning on getting this discontinued STM Rogue Small from Amazon since it conceals the laptop and suspends it from the ground, better protecting it from impact.

The problem is, I don't know which sleeve I should use along with the backpack. I have narrowed it down to 3 sleeves.

The Booq Viper Hard Case

The G-Form Sleeve

What do you guys think about these three and which one should I get? Again, I'm looking for the most protection.
Thanks in advance.

The booq Vyper is the best protection I've ever seen in a notebook sleeve. In my opinion, it offers far better protection than any neoprene case, the zippers never come into contact with your MBP, and it looks great!

The G-Form Extreme Sleeve looks very protective, but I don't have any personal experience with it, and it's much bulkier.

+1 for Booq Viper.

Few weeks ago, I dropped my MBA which was inside the Booq Viper case. Not even a scratch and booted up normally.

All of my macbooks/air pro etc have always lived in elecom zeroshock case/etc. I use them inside it and they provide wonderful shock protection. The foam inside is hard to explain, it's stiff yet very shock resistant, I could probably put it on my chest and have someone punch me without feeling it much.

They have multiple models, depending on the size of your macbook air. There are plenty of importers who carry them as well.

If I store the magsafe charger in the sleeve along with the Macbook Air and the charger is placed in the center of the MBA on the lid, will it exert pressure on to the display? That is one of my concerns.

Looks like a legitimate sleeve, I will try to find some info on it, thanks.

I guess I'm still looking for something that will protect the screen itself the best, I don't want lines created by the trackpad or the display to be "flexed". Im really worried about the display since there is no edge-to-edge glass.

So, I have been looking around and I'm wondering if there is anything more protective? Something like an Otterbox for Macbook Airs...
