For example, if you have ten apps on your phone but 100 in your iTunes that would be 10%.

I have lately removed many apps off my phone that I wasn't using. They're decent apps (such as 'spell checker' and "SNAP!") but I wasn't opening them up on my phone.

I have about 240 apps in iTunes yet only 33 apps on my phone right now.
That would mean I'm using about 15% of them.

Is there anyone here that has all their apps stored in iTunes also on their phone?

Anyone with hundreds of apps but very few on their phone?

Just thought of this on the way in to work this morning. . .

Yeah, I was confused how percentages worked.
Anyways, Ive got 42 apps on my phone. Ill take a guess and say I've got about 10 I stopped using and havent deleted off iTunes.
So, 84% of the apps on my iTunes are on my phone.

Yeah, yeah... ;)

If iTunes came out with a formula that allowed better organization of your apps would you delete as many as you do?

I have found that after getting rid of some apps, down the road with an improvement or two, I want the app back.

Yes, probably about 50 percent here as well. I try to keep my apps at 6 screens or less. No one can use 200+ apps on their phone. I also tend to cull apps from my computer that I know have no shot of ever making it back to the iPhone.

About half of them. My computer is filled with apps I didn't like or old free ones that I bought full versions of like MLB At Bat or Crystal Defenders.

About 20%. I don't bother deleting apps off of iTunes unless they are 'lite' versions that I have upgraded. I rotate some of my apps (like games) and change apps based on what I will be doing (going on a trip?) Sometimes apps get updated making them better so I like to keep them around but I don't like to have pages and pages on my iPhone.

100%

If I delete them off my phone I delete them out of iTunes as well. If I'm not using them on the phone now, I probably won't in the future.

I figure I can always look at my purchase history and re-download them if I have a change of heart.

Holy crap....488 apps. Did you just go in and download all the free ones?

Steve

Been getting say 1-3 apps a day since app store was released. Some days no apps. Slow pace, so snuck up on me.

Most are paid apps I got on sale when free, a few promo code apps, but mainly all the apps I use on phone are ones I paid for (beejive, jaadu vnc, issh, super monkey ball, etc..)

Started not deleting as many sucked but I saw potential so kept to check for future updates, seasonal apps, etc.. At this point though in the next few days I'm going through to delete most. The sucky apps never got better and if I didn't go back to use at this point prob won't ever.

Was hoping itunes would've had something better to sort apps but don't look like that'll ever happen.

I have 228 applications on iTunes and 228 on my iPhone. 1/2 of the applications are games. I would take them off but because iTunes will delete the settings for the games when you take them off my iPhone, that would mean losing all my progress in those games. So i just use the Spotlight feature for the 4 or 5 pages of games I keep pushed to the end.

564 apps in iTunes:eek:. How to find out the exact number I have installed on my iPhone?? But my guess would be bout 80%. It takes up 6+GB on my iPhone.

Full pages = 16 apps

Multiple 16 by the total number of full pages and then count the ones that aren't full separately and then add that number to the full pages total.

The total above you then divide by 564 and then move the decimal right two spots and you can have your answer.

you are joking, right? All my 11 pages are full and I have 5 folders of apps created using categories which contains appx 150 Apps in them and still I can't see a lot of apps coz they just don't show up on these 11 pages. Have to use spotlight for them.

The only way I could think of right now is counting in iTunes how many apps are checked to find out the total number of apps on the iPhone.

I'd say around 80% of my itunes apps are on my iphone. Most of unused apps were all free. That number will increase since my wife has my old 3G iphone and downloads a bunch of free apps that I do not install on my iphone 3GS (we are using the same account)
