I noticed when I got my 24” M1 iMac that the default is settings were “sleep after 10 mins” and “screensaver after 15 mins”. This means you’d never see the screen saver, and honestly I don’t miss it. With instant wake-from-sleep there isn’t really a need for screensavers anymore. Or is there?

I have a M1 Mini and use screen saver instead of letting monitor go to sleep. If I'm leaving the computer for a longer time I just use the button on the monitor turn it off or ctrl+shift+eject

I think it looks nice. I use this one:

EDIT:// I hate auto sleep on monitor specially on short time periods like 10 min, working by the computer and taking one phone call and the monitor shuts itself off bath, OK if it's set to like 40 min or something.
