I tried to search every forums to see people experience with iMac 21in i5.But seem like nobody buy it?.It seems sensible for me to have more power on iMac 21in than oversize i5 27in.Does anyone know the difference between the two ?, of coz except the screen size.

Thank

Jack

The i5 in 21.5" iMac is dual core (i5-680) while in iMac it's quad core (i5-760). 27" also has better GPU (ATi 5750 aka 5850M)

So how much is the difference in term of power between i3,(i5-680), (i5-760) ?.

Depends on what you do with it. i3 is as fast as the others in basic tasks (surfing, email, iTunes, Office...) but if you're going to do video editing or heavy-ish photo editing, then i5s will be faster and i5-760 is fastest in most tasks

if you only do web surfing office tasks and watching videos you will possibly never see any difference at all apart from screen size obviously
so if you are a more average computer user ..means someone who is just using the computer to surf the web , send emails , write sometimes letters or does collect his household bills and sorts them on the computer , and watch the occasional video and maybe sortout your holiday pictures you will be happy with a i3 and can safe the rest of the cash to upgrade the ram and go in holiday to make a couple more pictures
even heavy duty tasks like video editing and cutting will only take a couple minutes longer
