I am working on a personal project to fully restore a Mac Pro 2008 (MacPro3,1) to only stock Apple parts and original configuration. It is for an exhibition.
I am finding conflicting information on what was the ORIGINAL STOCK AirPort card model that was used by this generation of Mac Pro when it was originally released.
Some references indicate that the stock card installed by Apple at the time was a BCM94321MC (unsure if this was from MB363Z/A kit) card. This was the same card used in MacPro1,1 (which I know for sure).
However, the "official" Apple service manual for MacPro3,1 I located showed photos of the AirPort card with either the part number BCM94311MCAG or the part number BCM94321MC. I don't know if the manual was poorly prepared, mixing photos from different generations of Mac Pro.
Can someone with a Mac Pro 2008 that had a STOCK AirPort card installed at the time when the system was originally built or ordered help out? Can you post the exact PART NUMBER / MODEL NUMBER that is on your card in your system?
