what is the symbol on status bar..

i see a strange symbol i.e phone receiver symbol and dots under it...it never goes...

any idea how to remove ?

previously i installed notifier app , and i have already uninstalled it..even i didnot see that icon when i was using that app..

I think that it is the symbol for tdy or something for the hearing impaired.

It's the symbol for TTY as posted above.
You can get rid of it by going to settings < phone and then turning it off from there
