Do you not have an extra HDD for the Premiere media files?
And Premiere projects do not count as movies, since they are not really videos or movies anyway, they are projects.
Try something like Grand Perspective, it will graphically show what space is being used on your drives and allow you to delete them.
I use a program called WhatSize to track down unused files. It's great and cheap. Also there's a trial...

i had problems with time machine backups being held cached - there was gigs of the stuff. it takes local snap shots apparently...
If you're wondering what "Other" category in the storage tab is about, this may help explain: For space issues not explained by the above, there are a few things you can try, some of which may or may not apply:
- Begin by restarting your computer as a first step. This sometimes resolves issues.
- For Time Machine users on notebooks running Lion or later, space may being consumed by Time Machine local snapshots, which can be disabled by entering the following command in Terminal: sudo tmutil disablelocal.
- Check to see if some of the space is being used by your sleepimage file.
- Search with Finder to see if the space is being consumed by a very large file or several large files. Adjust the 50GB in the illustration to whatever size you deem appropriate.
- Use OmniDiskSweeper, JDisk Report, Disk Inventory X, DaisyDisk or GrandPerspective to see how space is being used on your drive. Some of these apps may show more detail than others, so try several.
- Check your drive with Disk Utility: Using Disk Utility to verify or repair disks
- Try re-indexing your drive: Spotlight: How to re-index folders or volumes
That display is not an exact description of the content on your hard drive, at all. It's a rough break down, "other" is mostly your own files that happens to be categorized as "other".
If you want to get to the bottom of it, I recommend DaisyDisk, which analyze all files on the disk and present them as a sunburst diagram, you will then see exactly what it is. Just don't remove system files.

DaisyDisk is what use as well - it's not so great in that it doesn't allow one to select volumes. I'm seeing WhatSize for the first time - so it might be better, I dunno - they both charge $ for them. I have that "Grand Perspective" thing as well or something identical to it and I can't use it - it's just too confusing with little block all over the place too small to click on - I guess someone can get their head around it cuz it's been around for years and years.
OmniDiskSweeper is quite simple. It lets you select a volume and the scan result is is a list sorted by the biggest folders, in which you then can browse and even can double click in order to let Finder show you the folder or file.

Every time I've used one of those in the past I've highly regretted it. All the time the system and various applications had spent creating nice quick caches has to be redone - making the system (and some applications) slow until everything is rebuilt again.

OmniDiskSweeper is not a cleaner, at least not the way I use it. I use it to find big folders and files, if I have any clogging my storage drives, and then open them in Finder to do the cleaning. If one is not careful though, one could open the same folder twice.
