I have seen this some time to time on my iPhone 6+ but I don't know what is this for? Care to explain?

Thanks

I don't know if you are trolling, but this is reachability, a feature triggered by double tapping (just tap, don't press) the home button. It was introduced at iPhone 6 keynote. For reaching content with one handed use on the larger models.

And no.. No split screen or picture in picture.

You should know that by owning an iPhone 6(+)

Note to OP and others who didn't know about it, it works across the system in apps too, not just the home screen. Can be very useful for reaching buttons at the top, even Control Centre.

Do you mean Notification Center?

No I didn't know that when I got iPhone 6+ seriously. If I knew what this is for I wouldn't post this today!

Alright Sir Castic! Like I said, considering 99.99% of iPhone users won't have sat through two hours of marketing hyperbole that is an Apple Keynote, I don't think this is well known/advertised 'feature'. And if anyone skipped the 6 or 6+ it could easily be interpreted as a bug.

... I posted the video to let people know. Geez.

If I learn something new every day I'm happy.

Every day's a School Day.

Now you can pass the knowledge on if and when you come across something similar.

Gotta try that. I didn't know about it myself.
