what is this type of art called (i'm going to be very vague)

i saw a thread here awhile ago titled "post your ____ art!" and cant seem to find it (even in the photos section).

generally from what people have posted, its multiple pages attached together to make one piece... they are always in black and white. in my mind its something similar to pure ascii art, but im pretty sure its not.

i know it's vague, but can anyone maybe help me out with what its called? i really want to do something like that in my bedroom
